A heavy rain until the morning on May 8th made the Kiso River a muddy stream river. One of the headwater of the Kiso River is the Otaki River comes from Mt. Ontake, which had 345mm of precipitation as the largest precipitation in the local record of May. Such the heavy rain caused the muddy stream.
The Kiso River was filled with muddy water, which was torrent that flushed away anything.
After the flood receded, it was found the construction siste of the new Wamura bridge had a severe damaged. Hope a smooth recovery.
